The electronic sand table is networked via a local area network (LAN) with the command training simulator and the equipment post-operation training simulator. Scenario editing is performed on the electronic sand table, and terrain data, enemy and friendly situation information, and virtual-force combat compositions are dispatched to the command training simulator and the equipment post-operation training simulator. The combat actions of each simulator and of the virtual forces are dynamically displayed on the electronic sand table, enabling system-wide, all-elements, human-in-the-loop operational confrontation training. The video wall (or projection screen) can present the viewpoint of any single simulator or multiple simulators simultaneously.
Hybrid digital-twin electronic sand table integrating live systems and simulators
The electronic sand table communicates with live (fielded) systems and simulators over a dedicated 4G private network. Scenario editing is performed on the sand table, and—via an LVC (Live-Virtual-Constructive) gateway with a director/control interface—LVC interconnectivity is established between live command information systems and the simulation training systems. This constructs an LVC-based multi-service collaborative combat system that integrates live units, simulators and virtual forces, enabling live forces to engage in realistic combat with simulated opposing (Blue) forces and virtual assets. The operational actions of the live systems, each simulator and the virtual forces are dynamically displayed on the electronic sand table, achieving system-wide, all-elements, human-in-the-loop combat confrontation training.
